The Beginning of LinenFawn

When I first imagined Linen Fawn, it is a feeling of quietness, calm and soft texture.

A desire to slow down and surround myself with things that feel honest and natural.

Linen has always drawn me in. It carries a beauty no other fabric can imitate. I wanted to create pieces that felt comforting and beautiful the moment you put them on, pieces that feel like "the one".

But the real beginning of this brand was very simple:
I started Linen Fawn because I realized something was missing. Simple, minimalistic matching clothing that feels stylish enough for everyday wear or special occasions, yet timeless, comfortable, and eco-friendly. As a mother preparing for family photoshoots, I found it surprisingly difficult to find matching outfits that weren’t overly expensive or too playful with bright colors and busy prints aimed mostly at children. I wanted something different: pieces that my whole family could wear proudly, with understated elegance and thoughtful design.

Coming from a background in the beauty industry, fashion was uncharted territory for me. I had no prior experience in designing clothes or sourcing suppliers, so I embarked on a journey of learning everything from scratch. From researching materials to finding the right suppliers and refining samples, it was a challenge full of trial and error.  It took me around 2 years to finalise the first batch of samples which made me feel "Yes! This is the feeling I want someone else to experience too when they put on their dress.". Thankfully, my family’s encouragement kept me going through the long hours of work and countless adjustments. 

Inspired by nature's calm and the philosophy of Zen, Linen Fawn was born! A brand that celebrates simplicity, natural beauty, and connection. Fawn was chosen thoughtfully - the image of a young deer, gentle and poised, moving through the world with quiet grace, is exactly the feeling we want to those who wear our clothes. We choose linen for its breathability and sustainability, and our colour palette reflects the earthy, soothing tones of the natural world. Each piece is crafted with care to offer effortless style and perfect fit, so matching with your loved ones can be both meaningful and comfortable.

Creating this brand has been a slow and grounding process. From researching fabrics, finding ethical manufacturers who are also committed to sustainability, ordering samples, photographing our first pieces to building an online store that represents Linen Fawn.
